QBSA provide a truly independent service to industry in that it is able to advise and facilitate assessment and certification via the two major accreditation regimes within the UK. These are the independent: ASCB(E) (Accreditation Service for Certifying Bodies (Europe) Ltd.) and: UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service). Both accreditation service providers have their advantages and disadvantages and QBSA are now in the unique position of being able to offer advice to its members or facilitating assessment via either of the two regimes. This now means that assessment and certification services can be better matched to clients real needs.
